Remember, earlier in the fall, I told you about my "before" and "after" pictures? I took a "before" picture of the hill just to the west of us, and it was all green. I may have shown you another one along the way, too. Here it is at the end of the fall. SO pretty.
By now, most of the color is gone, and most of the leaves are on the ground. But I did get this pretty picture for you at the peak of Autumn. You're welcome.
HAPPY FALL!!!

You see, this is the problem with naming a favorite tree: the next day you see another tree that is the new favorite.
However, here is my all time favorite tree to see in the fall: Gingko biloba. Look at that color!!! Aren't these fabulous? These are the ones at the church in Blairsville. There are three planted close together, and they are magnificent right NOW!!!
Go there. Or just keep your eyes trained on bright yellow, and you may see some in your travels. I hope so.
HAPPY FALL!!!

These are MY trees showing their fall color. Left to right, they are Hickory, Red maple, and Tulip poplar. I love them all, especially on a gorgeous fall day like this one.
HAPPY FALL!!!

I copied this straight off the Farmers Almanac page:
Veterans Day is celebrated every November 11 in the United States. Veterans Day 2025 is Tuesday, November 11, 2025. This annual federal holiday honors those who served in the United States Armed Forces.
Let us always honor those who served.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.

I don't usually have favorites, because I love them all. But in the fall, I think my favorite trees are the Hickories. They turn all kinds of yellow and gold. And they poke way up into the blue sky. Oh, wait. They also drop hickory nuts that make our feet skid out from under us walking down to the garden.
That's OK, I still love them. I hope you get to see Hickory trees in their glorious fall attire.
HAPPY FALL!!!

Here is another cool fall color shot. This one is looking north toward Murphy, and farther toward Franklin, NC.
It's so much prettier in person, but if you can't be here, the least I can do is share my pictures. I hope it's beautiful where you are.
HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!!!

Wow!! It is SO pretty here!!! The fall color is still beautiful. This is our view to the south as we get near the top of the mountain. Those in the distance are the North Georgia Mountains.
The roads are covered with yellow and brown leaves, and everywhere you look it is gorgeous!!!!
WISH YOU WERE HERE!!!

On my way to Virginia a few weeks ago, I saw cotton fields in bloom, or is it cotton fields gone to seed? Anyway, I saw lots of cotton, and vowed to myself to stop on the way home. So I did. You can see the sky in the picture, and it was a little rainy that day, but I stopped to get a nice picture to show you. I love this picture.
You can't see the seeds, but they are there at the base of the cotton boll. You also can't see the whole field of cotton, but it was beautiful: it looked like it had recently snowed. Beautiful!!! Definitely worth the stop.
HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!!!

I showed you the peppers while they were still on the bushes a few weeks ago. They were exploding then. Well, we were expecting a frost a few nights ago, so I went out and harvested most of the peppers. And here they are!!!
Maybe I should open my own little farmers market. Or just share them with my neighbors and friends. That's my real plan.
HAPPY GARDENING!!!

We went to THE BEST stand at the Farmers' Market in Yorktown. Look at all these gorgeous vegebles. I couldn't help myself: I had to have one of those purple cauliflowers. I've grown cauliflower in my garden before, but never the purple one. Maybe I'll get seeds for it next year.
And all those eggplants and zucchinis!!! It was truly a feast for the eyes. You know I was happy. ;)
HAPPY GARDENING!!!
