We love seeing Bluets this time of year. They kinda glow in the green grass. And they are everywhere.
Be on the lookout. They are tiny, but they stand out because of their color.
HAPPY MARCH!!!

These are my favorite!!! They are King Alfred daffodils; they are also called Dutch Master.
Ever wonder how many different types of daffodils there are? Well, I have a catalog that sells mostly bulbs, and in it there are 175 different listings, filling 22 pages of the catalog!!! And that's just the daffodils. There are 21 pages of tulips!! And all kinds of other fall planted bulbs.
I love looking at all the pretty pictures.
HAPPY GARDENING!!!

I've shown you one of these before. Remember what it is?
Praying Mantis egg case. This one is in the Rosemary bush. It's a little hard to tell how big it is from this picture, but if you touch your index finger to your thumb, that circle is about the size of this egg case. It probably holds between 50 and 100 baby mantids.
I love finding these in the winter, because I know we will have Praying Mantids in the spring. I love seeing them, but even more I love that they eat bugs. I saw a full grown Praying Mantis carrying off a full size Monarch caterpillar once. OK, I didn't love that, but it is good that they eat other bugs.
HAPPY ALMOST SPRING!!!

I love it when the Forsythias bloom. Little splashes of sunshine all along the roads. Some BIG splashes too.
They are really easy to grow too!! I just stick sticks in the ground and they grow!!
HAPPY MARCH!!!

As we came around the corner onto Mocassin Church Rd., we were amazed to see all these turkeys. We guessed that when we first saw them, there were about ten males showing their stuff.
By the time I got out and got my camera ready some of the females had already moved up the hill to shelter. But just look at them all!!!
Sorry about that power line in the picture, but I was so intent on capturing all the turkeys and the free standing chimney, I didn't even see it. Just snapped the picture.
We love seeing critters in the hills!!
HAPPY MARCH!!!

You know that I love working puzzles. All kinds of puzzles. This picture is one of a bunch of butterfly online jigsaw puzzles.
I can't remember the name of the site, but if you are interested, I will look it up and post it. Let me just do that right now...be right back.
I found it by going to the App Store for my device, and searched jigsaw puzzles. There are a ton of them available, and a lot of them are free. I only buy FREE apps. So if you love jigsaw puzzles, and pretty pictures, go to the App Store and download a few. I hear it's good for your brain.
HAPPY WINTER STILL!!!

My tête-à-tête daffodils are blooming. There are about twelve bunches just like this, that I can see from my kitchen window.
I love these daffodils. We planted them about 10 years ago, and they just keep dividing, and blooming every year. So sweet.
HAPPY MARCH!!!

We repainted the haybale, and put up the cute wooden flowers.
Even though it's not officially spring, it is starting to feel like it; and these flowers help with the festive atmosphere.
HAPPY MARCH!!!

Look how cute the crocuses are with Roxanne's gnome.
Her garden is just starting to bloom. We'll get to see lots more as Spring arrives.

I thought you would like to see who's blooming at our house.
Priscilla gave me this Amaryllis bulb at Christmastime, and this is the second time it has bloomed like this.
These are not the leaves of the Amaryllis; but the bloom stem is so tall, and the flowers so big that it is top-heavy. So I put the pot behind these snake plants so they can keep it from toppling over. ;)
Isn't it gorgeous?
THINK SPRING!!!
