Hahaha!!! Look what Father Winter brought us today. Same Redbud tree, little different weather.
That's OK, we still have inside projects. Winter isn't over yet.
HAPPY SPRING!!!

OMG!!!! You can't even believe how beautiful this tree is!!! It is the Redbud that planted itself 10-15 years ago. This is the most beautiful I've seen it. The flowers are the most gorgeous magenta, and it is absolutely abuzz with pollinators.
I am so happy that spring is here, and that my trees are blooming.

On our walk in the park, we also saw this little hillside full of periwinkle. I love it. It is an evergreen vine, and grows in the shade. What a great combination. Green all winter, then purple blossoms in spring. All you have to do it plant a few sprigs of it, and it will take off and cover the ground. It comes variegated too: that's pretty.
It is kinda small, but you may still see some if you look for it.

We love these trees in the park. They just started blooming earlier this week.
Be sure to keep your eyes open when you are out and about: the cherry trees are blooming NOW!!!
I need a trip to Yorktown. I bet those big ones on Route 17 are gorgeous, or they will be soon.
HAPPY SPRING!!!

The peach trees are starting to bloom. They look so happy.
They sure make me happy! Now we just keep our fingers crossed that the flowers get pollinated and situated before any last minute winter weather.

Jon noticed them first: Bluets. They are so tiny; you really have to be looking for them. But once you see some, you can't help yourself. You have to look for more.
Be on the lookout when you are out on your walks; you may get lucky and see bluets. I bet they will make you smile.

It is so exciting!!! On our walk we saw almost all the Bradford Pears starting to bloom. They are so bright and white: we can see them across the hills, and over the ridges.
Spring is on its way to the mountains. YAY!!!!
