Our Cinnamon fern is coming up. The fiddleheads are about the size of my thumb right now, but when they open all the way they will be about 4 feet tall.
I love watching them emerge, and then grow so tall.
HAPPY SPRING!!!

This is what our friends see when they come around the corner. :) April showers bring May flowers. And maybe rainbows.
I tickle myself, and lots of others.

I guess the joke was on me. I have been looking forward to April first since February, to repaint the haybale.
But look at the wind!!! Spray paint and big wind just don't go together. You end up wearing most of it.
So, I hope today is a little calmer, and we can get it done. I'm excited. I know you'll like it.
I'll get Jon to take a picture when we're finished.
HAPPY SPRING!!!

While we were all basking in the delights of Spring, seeing the trees in bud, and wearing shorts on our walks; Mother Nature had a different idea about the end of Winter. It is still winter. And look what we woke up to on Saturday.
I love snow in the winter, but not so much after the Redbud trees have set their flower buds.
Hopefully this cold snap just lasts a day or two, and we can get back to the business of Spring.
HAPPY ALMOST SPRING!!!

We repainted the haybale, and put up the cute wooden flowers.
Even though it's not officially spring, it is starting to feel like it; and these flowers help with the festive atmosphere.
HAPPY MARCH!!!

I thought you would like to see who's blooming at our house.
Priscilla gave me this Amaryllis bulb at Christmastime, and this is the second time it has bloomed like this.
These are not the leaves of the Amaryllis; but the bloom stem is so tall, and the flowers so big that it is top-heavy. So I put the pot behind these snake plants so they can keep it from toppling over. ;)
Isn't it gorgeous?
THINK SPRING!!!

We repainted the haybale, so that our snowmen are now ready for Valentine's Day.
The folk art snowmen are still there; Hey! Snowman season is not over yet. I'm glad: we may still get to make a real snowman and go sledding.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

OK. It's still cold, as you can see, but there IS sunshine to be had. You just have to look for it.
This cool metal sculpture is at Meeks Park in Blairsville, on the side of the new pavilion. It always makes us smile.
Thought you could use a winter smile about now.
HAPPY FEBRUARY!!!
