Thursday was a good day for starting seeds, so I went over to Jim's, and we sowed seeds for orange and yellow Echinacea, and some special Black eyed Susies (Denver Daisies). Not sure WHAT will happen, but we can try....
I'm not very scientific, but I do love to experiment with seeds. So, here we go.....we have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
HAPPY GARDENING!!

Gerry, when starting a seedling bed do you create a special bed mix to get them started quicker?

Yes, I use a special mix. Any seed starter is fine, but we get it at the Basket Barn in Blairsville, $20 for a 2.8 CU FT bag. Any left after seeding, I mix in with mushroom compost and use it in my pots.
Seed starting is a good subject for my blog post. I'm thinking February....
