I couldn’t help taking this picture of the maple leaves.  This whole tree is covered in these multi-colored leaves.

It seems like the trees are changing more and more every day now.  

 

This is the same view as a week or so ago, and look how much more color is showing.

This is Crabapple Lane, how it looked yesterday when we started out for our walk.

 

It was a balmy 60 degrees with a 15 mph wind, so we wore shorts and long sleeves.  Gorgeous day for a walk in the mountains.  

 

I hope it is beautiful where you are too.

HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!

 

Several of our neighbors have hung flag buntings on their fences.  They look so nice for the Fourth of July.

 

There are also two on the gates at the entrance to the neighborhood, but I couldn’t get a picture of them, because the gates close at 7 pm, and we are always safe at home by then.

HAPPY ALMOST SPRING!!!

 

Yep, I took this picture on the loop just a couple days ago.  Even though it's been quite warm, there is still some ice on the north side of our mountain.

 

Just a reminder, I guess, that it is still winter.  At least the days are getting longer.  Let's be happy about that.

 

HAPPY JANUARY, 2023!!!

 

I don't know about you, but I love decorating at Christmastime. And I don't know about you, but I am a little bit lazy.

 

OK.  I love doing it, but not every month!  So, in the winter, I decorate with snowmen.  That way we have happy decorations for Christmas, and they last until spring. ;).  Get it?  We get to celebrate Christmas and winter.  

 

These Russian nesting dolls are called Matryoshka and were a present to Momma when Will went to Russia in 1994.  I am lucky enough that they live at my house and make us smile every winter.  

 

And the silk poinsettias are good all the way up til Valentines Day.  Hahaha!!!  Seasonal decorations!
