Asian Cole Slaw

Delicious slaw using sesame oil and almonds

1/2 hour, plus another 1/2 to marinate
Ingredients:
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/3 cup rice vinegar
2 tsp sesame oil
3 Tbsp sugar
1 head cabbage
Small chopped onion
Slivered almonds
Directions:
Shred the cabbage into a large bowl. Add the chopped onion and almonds.
Combine oil, salt, pepper, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar in a small bowl, and mix well. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss. Let stand for 1/2 hour for flavors to blend.
Cook's Notes:
We usually make 1/2 the recipe. We also reduce or leave out the sugar. Sometimes we add a little red cabbage, and grated carrot for color.
